Planning grants provide an opportunity for teams of faculty members and students from several Johns Hopkins schools or divisions to form and work towards identifying a social challenge and problem-solving approach.

Implementation grants are awarded to enable teams to produce findings and innovations sufficient to beneficially impact communities in LMIC and/or to procure next-phase funding from government, foundation, and corporate sources.

The Global Health Equity Scholars Program was established in 2017 to facilitate multidisciplinary collaborations between Hopkins students across all schools and divisions. Scholars will conduct research, lead student group events, and facilitate interactions between experts from several disciplines. They will contribute to the innovative work of the Alliance under the direct mentorship of thematic leaders and senior staff.
